One thing about buying new cars these days is that the blue tooth option capability is always an extra option. I bought a 2010 Prius (base model) and it did came with a lot of standard features. But the bluetooth option to connect your phone was an extra $300 plus installation of 200 something so I said Efff That! I am making my own.
These are the things you need to make this happen:
1) A car with AUX capable stereo
2) A Bluetooth headset that only has a built in mic and 3mm jack: something like this.
3) 6 foot coiled or retractable 3mm male/male jack
4) A smart phone: Preferably an iPhone. Sorry never tested this in Android.
